Robert E. Stone

Robert "Bob" Erwin Stone, 79, of Breed Hill Road, Moriah, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10th, 2024 with a brief illness of lung cancer with his family by his side. 

Bob was born on April 26th, 1944 and was the son of Charles and Mazie (Laing) Stone. He was one of three children. 

Bob was a simple man that enjoyed good company of his friends and family along with a nice cold beer. Bob was a jack of all trades and had many hobbies; he loved woodworking-he loved to build tables, picture frames and dog houses. He loved his garden and enjoyed cooking for others such as his famous meatballs. 

Bob will be remembered by his charming blue eyes as well as his kind heart; he would give you the shirt off his back even if meant nothing in return. 

Bob is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carole (Stone) and Norm St. Pierre, Bob's three children, Michael Stone of Unity, Maine and twins James Robert Stone of Albany, NY and Jennifer L. (Stone) and son-in-law Richard "Dicky" Finnessey of Moriah, NY. Bob is also survived by his 3 grandchildren; Ellis and Halena Stone of Unity, Maine and Weston J. Finnessey of Moriah, NY.  

Bob was pre-deceased by his parents Charles and Mazie (Laing) Stone and his brother Vernon “Vernie” F. Stone. 

There will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
