Cheyenne Morin Obituary

Cheyenne “Monk” B. Morin Sr., 67, of Witherbee, passed away on February 3rd, surrounded by his family.

Cheyenne was larger than life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, a listening ear in times of need, and grace to anyone who needed it. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He took great pride in his marriage to his “Josephine,” as he affectionately referred to her; fifty wonderful years to be exact.

Cheyenne proudly served in the Army National Guard and dedicated over twenty years to serving his community as the Town of Moriah water filtration operator and Transfer Station operator. This role was the highlight of his days, as it allowed him to visit with everyone who passed through.

Cheyenne was predeceased by his mother, Eva (Burl) Morin; his father, Emile Morin; his father-in-law; Robert French, many beloved nephews and nieces and several other family members.

Left to carry on his memory are his wife, Jo Ann (French) Morin; his children; Cheyenne (C.B.) Morin Jr., Joanna (Robert) Lake, Jessica McNeilly, and India (Jeffrey) Peters. He will live on through his grandchildren; Patrick (Amber) Lake, Eva (Titus Casper) MacDougal, Morgan MacDougal, Cameron Peters, Spencer Peters, Grayson Peters, Grace McNeilly, and “Papa’s girls” Lainey and Emilia Peer-Lake. He also held very close to his heart his mother-in-law; Grace French, along with many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and close friends whom he considered family.

Per his request, there will be no services. Information regarding a celebration of life will be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, two charities Cheyenne was deeply passionate about supporting.
